Years ago, in my grandmother's house, there hung on the wall a black metal sculpture of horses running.The wall was white brick. I can still see the manes of those horses all wild and blowing straight back, black against white,and yes, it was very dramatic.
I love how these photographs of horses are so graphic and powerful and bring an earthy quality to a room.
